What a freaking awesome weekend I just had! Usually I'm not one for the back trails er, trail by the gun club, but it proved enough for the two nights we went out. Tons of laughs, awesome company, and great quading.
I learned a few lessons:
- Wear goggles.
- Wear goggles below helmet visor so you don't lose them.
- When wearing a MP3 player on your quad, hang on to it; it doesn't float.
- Hang on tight when you're a passenger.
- When one knows the trail, one should lead. (Okay, that's a debatable one.)
- Carry a fire extinguisher.
- Some people would rather be reading than be knee deep in mud. (Heh heh.)
- LIFE IS TOO SHORT!!!
All in all, this was probably the best weekend I have had this summer for various reasons. I'll take the mud, losing equipment, damaging my quad and being hungover beyond comprehension over watching TV all weekend any day.
And to think, if you win this quad, you could be part of it next time. (Or you could keep it clean like others I know with a Can-Am. Heh heh.)
