Ya, I know.

The forums are not working on this site, and CSS is busted on the few other pages I serve. I've just been too busy to fix it. I guess I should post something about who I am and what I do, and I suppose I should fix the forums because before they went down my family and I were pretty active in them.

WordPress is great and all, but I think I might move to a .NET environment, only because I can't stand PHP and it will allow me to test a lot of my own code, as well as customise my site without having to pick through other people's code. (A lot being poorly written.)

Anywho, my apologies. My site has been busted for a while and it's time I did something about it. Not a real good reflection on who I am!

What happened to Maxim?

My favourite magazine, Maxim, now completely sucks. I don't know which editor decided the changes they have made are better, but whomever it is, he (and in all probability she - no offense) should be be fired. They have taken a magazine that was once "cutting-edge" and humourous, and made it so dry it is almost unbearable to read. I don't know why I keep buying it, (well, probably because of the woman on the cover) but if I had a subscription, I'd certainly cancel it.

They don't even publish letters from their readers any more. In all likelihood that's because the letters are filled with complaints. No page full of jokes, no words from their troops overseas, no found porn. What happened to the text messages from readers? Or the bizarre picture? All I see now is bullshit filler and headlines on the cover that do not connect with any article whatsoever.

Maxim is shit. It's like Details when Maxim came out.

Save yourself the $5.99 CAD when you see it on the shelf. There are a lot of copies left for a reason.

(Ya, I'm whining, but sending this to Maxim wouldn't do any good, and I need to post something. =] )

I fricken missed January.

It's been a long time since I have missed a whole month without posting to my blog. Normally I like to at least say something once a month, but for some reason I missed out on January. Mainly it has been because I have been working a lot, and well, a lot has been going on.

Christmas was okay, although my Mother suffered a stroke and was in hospital for the holidays. It wasn't pleasant, but she pulled though and is doing very well now. Great actually.

I've been trying to split my time up between working in the evenings and spending time with someone. No point in mentioning her name, most of you know who it is. That is another long story.

Anyway, I'll post something on Monday a little more significant. Just a blurb to let the spam bots know that they are actually targeting a semi-active blog.
